Theft and Extortion?

I own a condo and an ociated storage unit. My previous tenant moved out. After one month of working on the unit, I found an unauthorized lock and items in my storage unit. No identification was on the items. The manager cut the lock for me and I put my own lock on. Attempts to contact the old tenant failed so I had someone remove the items from my unit. Several days later, a gentleman approached me and admitted to using he unit for two months and wanted his items back. I told him he should pay for the gas and transportation to get his items back. He agreed initially for $150. After a few days, I contacted him because he had not given me money for it. He claims that I stole his items and am extorting him. He made a police report and the constable called, left a message stating he was going to issue a warrant for my arrest for theft and extortion. Is this possible????
