Does anyone else have a baby with SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia)?

We discovered that our 10 month old baby has SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia) when she was 3 months old. It is a heart condition, in which her heart rate will jump up to like 270+ BPM. Her cardiologist says that she may grow out of it around age 1 or 2. I am scared that my baby will have to have heart surgery. Has anyone else had this problem? Did your child grow out of it? Did they have surgery? How long were they on medication? How did you know when they went into SVT? How did you get them out of SVT?
