Did you read the article? Do you know even what jury nullification means? It is when the jury knowingly disregards the matters of law explained by the judge, and votes based on some emotional connection with the defendant. It is illegal to influence a jury, it is not a First Amendment issue except in the stupid stuff that you post on this site. If that were true, then the police could testify that defendants have prior arrest records and other things like that to influence the Trial.
