Giving a girl your number and she text you the next day?

I gave this girl my number who I had about three 10sec conversations with keeping it short and simple the next day she text and says hi this is .... from the club I'm just hittin you up before I forget I text back hey hows your day going havent heard from her and its been 2days already. I'm thinking she did that so I will remember who she is by having her number but by her not responding is because she doesn't want to seem desperate, especially texting me the very next day around lunch time. any opinions?
